It was only a title defence but this put Katie Taylor right on the radar.

Katie Taylor successfully defended her WBA & IBF Female Lightweight World titles in the early hours of Sunday morning. The Bray native went the full 10 rounds with Cindy Serrano to claim her 11th win as a pro at TD Garden in Boston. Although she has already won Olympic gold and world titles, the victory in America was a huge career highlight as she was front and centre as a main card draw. It helped, too, that her friend Conor McGregor was there to cheer her on.
