There was a bizarre end to Irishman Thomas Carty’s fight with Englishman Dave Allen in the main undercard bout at Croke Park on Saturday.
After just 1 minute and 22 seconds, Carty fell through the ropes after being caught on the back of the head by Allen's punch during a clinch.
The Dubliner fell some distance to the floor, surrounded by photographers and officials, requiring oxygen before getting to his feet.
Confusion reigned around Croke Park, before the fight was declared a 'no contest' by the officials.
Allen seemed confused by the incident, and clearly felt he had done nothing wrong, with boos ringing around Croke Park. After the no contest decision was announced, more boos were heard, but plenty online were suggesting Allen was unlucky.
A wild culmination to the undercard on a historic night...
