Less than two months after it came to a close, the Oscar Pistorius murder trial looks set to dominate headlines again.

Prosecutors in the Oscar Pistorius case may appeal the conviction of culpable homicide, a South African judge has ruled today.

Pistorius was sentenced to five years in jail in October for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in Februry 2013.

The prosecutors had sought to appeal the sentence on the grounds that it wasn’t long enough, but a judge has said while they can’t appeal the sentence, they may appeal the conviction.

The appeal will now be brought before the Supreme Court of Appeals in Bloemfontein,
