Top scorers of Dublin team that dominated the last decade of Gaelic football revealed

There's no questioning who the best team was in the past decade, as Dublin went from a 16-year barren spell to winning eight All-Ireland titles in the last 11 competitions. Many big names flooded this star-studded team over that period, and the capital managed to produce some of the best forwards in GAA history during this time. In an era where Dublin were all-powerful and all-conquering, they ran up some ridiculously high-scoring tallies, and even some of their best players couldn't make the top 10 scorers' list. The Numbers Gael Twitter account revealed that legends like Alan Brogan didn't make the cut, and even Eoghan O'Gara who managed over 100 points in this timeframe, couldn't make his county's top 10 - which is a frightening stat. One Brogan did the make the list however, finishing in second place and with an unbelievable 32 goals to his name; Bernard was only beaten by one of his teammates on the scoring front. Dean Rock takes the number one place with an astonishing 610 points in total - made up of 19 goals and 553 points - with 398 of them coming from dead ball situations. https://twitter.com/TheNumbersGael/status/1467954835890835456 Probably the most prolific and lethal free-kick taker in the game, the Ballymun star had to fend off other top dead ball artists, such as aforementioned Bernard Brogan, as well as Cormac Costello and Diarmuid Connolly. Connolly does steal third place with a total of 241 points, but interestingly Kevin McManamon, who is famously known for his role as an impact sub, managed to achieve fourth place with 234 points to his name. The likes of Ciaran Kilkenny, Cormac Costello and Con O'Callaghan are all still young and ever present in the Dublin set-up to continue adding to their tallies. Paul Mannion is only 28, but it doesn't seem like he will add to his already impressive total of 153 points, having opted out of the county panel this year to focus on his club Kilmacud Crokes. At the moment, it doesn't seem like he's willing to return. It's important to remember that the number one sharp shooter on the list, Dean Rock, is still kicking ball in his county colours, and isn't showing any interest in retiring just yet. However, with Mayo finally toppling the GAA giants, and Tyrone claiming the Sam Maguire trophy this year, Dublin are going to need all of their gun slingers in firing form next season.
