Predicting the six biggest GAA games of the weekend

There are six senior provincial championship semi-finals this weekend, across two codes and three provinces.

Make sure to enjoy it because, before long, jam-packed weekends like this will be a thing of the past as the club championships creeps ever so slightly towards its closing stages. Three of the six games will be broadcast live on television, kickstarting with a club hurling show-stopper in Leinster, as tournament favourites O'Loughlin Gaels clash with Kilcormac-Killoughey. Both teams have history in this competition, having won provincial titles as recently as 2010 and 2012 respectively and the 1.00 throw-in should draw plenty of eyes to TG4. There will be lots of inter-county talent on show in the O'Connor Park clash, with defensive trio Huw Lawlor, Mikey Butler and Paddy Deegan the main men for the Kilkenny city side, while Kilcormack are awash with future Offaly stars, such as Adam Screeney, Charlie Mitchell, Colin Spain and the Kavanaghs. It's something of a super Saturday then with the Ulster club semi-final between reigning champions Watty Graham's Glen and Naomh Conaill taking place at 5.30 live on RTÉ. Naomh Conaill rode their luck to overcome Gowna last time out and they'll be up against it taking on the Derry side. Sunday's meeting of Trillick and Scotstown will be live on TG4, with both sides coming off the back of impressive wins last time out.
