Limerick fan charts epic journey from Dubai to All-Ireland glory in Dublin

Paul Carmody must have sensed there was something special on the cards before he set off from Dubai. The Limerick native was heading back the 7,764 kilometres from Dubai to Dublin to catch the All-Ireland Hurling Final when he pressed 'record' on his camera. A few days later when he pressed 'stop' for the final time, he had witnessed his county end their 45-year wait for the Liam MacCarthy, shared some unreal memories with friends old and new, travelled home to salute the hurling heroes and danced in the streets amid scenes of raucous revelry. John Kiely's men looked to be coasting to glory until Galway tagged them back in injury time, only for Graeme Mulcahy to pop up with the late, late insurance point for Limerick.
