America produces the goods again with another gorgeous GAA jersey

We want to see the Dubs incorporate the Poolbeg chimneys into their next piece of kit. Or Clare with the Cliffs of Moher.

Back in 2017 [feels like a life-time ago], we declared that Kansas City had produced the GAA jersey of the year. The Kansas City offering trumped class jerseys from Sligo, Mayo's away offering and Dublin's lovely, navy change kit. Such was the consensus that the club was getting contacted from near and far by GAA fans looking to get their hands on the Masita-designed kit.

2022 produces another batch of fine GAA jerseys

We had clubs all over America reach out with their offerings and it prompted us to put together this list, back in 2017, of the 17 best GAA jersey offerings from the land of the stars and stripes. This is the time of year when most of the counties unveil their 2022 kits in competitions such as the McKenna and McGrath Cups. Not every county goes with a new jersey every year, but those with strong supporter bases generally opt to change up their home or away jersey [or both, while they are at it]. Once again, Mayo and Kerry have produced nice jerseys for the year ahead. We must say, the simplicity of design and nice collar on the new Derry home jersey [below] would see it rank highly were we to produce a 'Best Of 2022' compilation. Washington D.C Gaels come up trumps

Having travelled to Washington DC a few years back, I can attest to the place being like an outdoor museum. Everywhere you walk, downtown, in America's capital is full of buildings, monuments and sites steeped in history. The club caters for players in the DC metropolitan area as well as folks living in neighbouring Maryland and Virginia. Their training and playing grounds are right in the midst of the storied district. Not only do they have cool vistas going for them, they have men's football and hurling teams, a women's football side and a camogie team, as well as junior offerings. When it comes to their 2022 jerseys, they have done nicely too. Both jerseys, made by O'Neills, look a lot like the slick, clean Monaghan numbers but with the added extra of having the Capitol Hill dome feature on the front.
