It is the second major crash the Australian has been involved in, at the same corner, in 11 years

Mark Webber has been rushed for medical checks after he was involved in a high-speed crash at Interlagos, Brazil while travelling at 300kph (185 miles per hour). The former F1 Red Bull star collided with the Ferrari of Matteo Cressoni at the Arquibancadas curve with just under half an hour remaining in the 6 Hours of Sao Paolo. The race forms part of the World Endurance Championship. Webber's Porsche smashed into a concrete wall before sliding to the other side of the track to strike another wall near the pit lane. Both drivers were assessed on the scene and though Webber left on a stretcher, he was able to give a thumbs-up sign to the crowd. A statement from the race organisers reads, 'Cressoni was checked by the medical staff at the side of the track and cleared, while Webber, who was awake and alert, was taken to the circuit medical centre for further examination.' http://youtu.be/IIcFTIlj70c Remarkably, it is the second major crash Webber has been involved in at the same spot of the Interlagos course. He lost control of his Jaguar in 2003 and left the track strewn with debris. http://youtu.be/q9l3WzXCTCg
