Floyd Mayweather uses his favourite subject to score dig on Ronda Rousey

Where's the beef?

The manufactured feud between Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather doesn’t look like it’s going to end anytime soon.

On Thursday night Mayweather scored a dig at Rousey’s expense on ESPN’s SportsCenter. The man who calls himself “Money” used that topic to fire back at a comment the UFC star made at an awards ceremony earlier this year.

“I’ve yet to see any MMA fighter, or other boxer, make over $300 million in 36 minutes. When she can do that, then call me.”

This was a response to the swipe Rousey made at Mayweather’s history of domestic violence at this year’s ESPYs. After beating the pugilist to the coveted Fighter of the Year award, Rousey said

“I wonder how Floyd feels being beaten by a woman for once.”

Rousey admitted after the ceremony that she had waited a whole year before slamming Mayweather, because she felt he disrespected her in 2014 by claiming he had no idea who she was.

Mayweather confirmed that at one point he wasn’t aware of UFC women’s bantamweight champion, but he certainly is now. He was actually very complimentary of Rousey and the UFC for the champ’s meteoric rise to stardom.

“A while back I didn’t know who Ronda Rousey was, so I’m pretty sure she got upset. I want to say congratulations to Ronda Rousey and the UFC. You guys have done a tremendous job and I’ve won probably six or seven ESPYS for Fighter of the Year. And I truly believe she deserves it. Congratulations to Ronda Rousey.”
