Eddie Hearn’s Conor McGregor impression could do with a good bit of work

His Eubank is strong though

It’s “nuttin”. Not “nuh-in.”

Eddie Hearn has treated us to a collection of his best impressions of figures in the fight game and some are most definitely more polished than others.

The Matchroom promoter is excellent at a lot of things – he can generate interest in fights, he can build prospects and he’s done wonders for the popularity of British boxing – but impressions are not his strong point.

Hearn recently spoke to IFL TV, who asked the promoter to play a little game and, credit to him, Hearn obliged.

Across three round, the interviewer gave Hearn two individuals from the world of boxing, as well as a topic over which to converse.

It was improv 101.

We had Bob Arum talking to Floyd Mayweather about Hearn himself.

We had Richard Schaefer talking to Jim McDonnell about James DeGale.

And we had Chris Eubank talking to Conor McGregor about Chris Eubank Jr.

Some were actually pretty decent, to be fair to Hearn, while Irish fans will most certainly have a flaw or two to point out in his impression of ‘The Notorious.’
