Post-match celebrations and a lack of social distancing at certain events put club game on hold

In Cork, Donegal and Laois, the football championships are up in the air. Same goes for the senior hurling in Offaly.

Club GAA activity, at all levels, has been suspended with immediate effect as a result of the rise in Covid-19 cases across Ireland. On Monday afternoon, the government are set to discuss NPHET's reccomendation for the whole country to move to a level 5 lock-down, which would mean no inter-county games could go ahead. If it was decided to move to level four, the inter-county game could continue, albeit with limited attendances allowed. This announcement will come as a huge disappointment to the Cork, Donegal and Laois footballers who still have a championship to finish off. The LGFA and camogie associations have yet to move while training is permitted under strict guidelines.
