Tasty....

Although Dublin have been consistently furious with how the Ger Brennan situation has been handled, incidents involving Jim McGuinness have further sparked the Dubs.

McGuinness avoided a ban after his altercation with Kerry's Diarmuid O'Connor as the hooter sounded in Donegal's defeat in Killarney.

Initially, Ger Brennan's ban was appealed by Dublin although unfortunately for the Sky Blues to no avail.

To add further salt into the wounds, Jarlath Burns' words yesterday on Morning Ireland didn't leave people with a Dublin persuasion happy after they've felt hard-done-by the decision.

Niall Moyne, a member of the Dublin backroom staff spoke on Morning Ireland this Wednesday stating he felt the GAA presidents comments were "disingenuous".

Moyne said: "We were very disappointed with Jarlath's comments, very disappointed.

"It seems to be a selective application of the rules. Is there a rulebook for Dublin and rulebook for everyone else? That's the way we're perceiving it at the moment...

"We have known in the past that the CCCC have looked at evidence post-fact and have clearly taken people before the committee after and suspensions were issued.

"I think it was disingenuous. This is not about Donegal, this is about Ger and the suspension was penal in the first place. I think that was pouring coal on the fire with his comments yesterday.

"People don't realise, Ger has not been able to coach his kids at games on a Saturday morning, this suspension applies to all games in the GAA.

"I think they really need to look at that rule."

With all the discourse surrounding the situation, it will be interesting to see how the GAA address the rule in the future.
