Promoters wondering how much revenue for last weekend's Las Vegas super fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao was affected by the proliferation of illegal streams on video app Periscope got their answer today: It doesn't matter.
As initial figures for pay-per-view purchases have begun to come in it has become clear that the fight is going to shatter all previous records.
It had been hoped that MayPac would be bought by as many as three million people in the US, breaking the previous record of 2.48million held by Mayweather's 2007 victory over Oscar de la Hoya.
But with figures for satellite and telephone sales - which usually account for around 40 per cent of the total for big fights - already accounting for 2.25million buys, it is now expected that the final figure could end up in excess of five million, meaning Floyd and Manny are likely to split far more than the $300million dollars originally predicted.
