By the end of 2017, Ireland could have two more gigantic stars in the professional boxing world.
Katie Taylor is well on her way to claiming a world lightweight title. This November, with a venue yet to be decided, she is set to take on WBA champion Cecilia Comunales.
McGregor may well have made his pro boxing debut by then, against none other than generational great Floyd Mayweather Jr. [49-0].
Perhaps McGregor was getting some boxing tips when he caught up with the Bray native, earlier this evening.
McGregor is still settling into life as a father, following the recent birth of his son, Conor Jr, with partner Dee Devlin. ‘The Notorious’ was afforded a few hours away from nappy and burping duties and it looks like it was well spent.
Despite proclaiming himself to be a massive fan of Olympic champion Taylor, the pair had never met.
That all came to an end tonight and it is hard to tell who looked happier.
Waiting a long time to meet the main man @TheNotoriousMMA! What a privilege to eventually meet and chat with the worlds best. pic.twitter.com/nJumWqpNlT

McGregor obviously knew the score and got a snap of his own with Taylor.
The respect between the pair is mutual.

The Champ Champ meets the Olympic Champ.
It’d make you damn proud.
