Floyd Mayweather vows not to make protege’s night all about him, immediately does the opposite

Dana White was right, the press conference for Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather will probably be better than the fight itself.

However, when Floyd Mayweather grabbed hold of the mic, he made sure that the focus was completely switched from the starlet straight over to himself and his proposed diamond-encrusted panty night with McGregor.

"Well if me and McGregor happen to make the fight happen, which I do think the fight will happen, I would love for this young kid (Davis) to be on the undercard. I would also like Badou Jack to be on the undercard."

Davis and Jack both fight for Mayweather Promotions, so it makes complete sense that he would be pushing for them to be added to that PPV record-smasher. It was a clever move on his part and it promoted the two talented pugilists. Despite using the platform to ensure the McGregor conversation would continue, Mayweather ensured the world that this night was all about Davis' victory. Remarkably, in the next sentence, he went back to talking about the McGregor fight.

"But, tonight's Tank Night. Let's talk about him. He did a great job. He did a tremendous job. I had a great career, and my career may not be over. Number 50 may be against Conor McGregor.
