Hulk Hogan awarded even MORE money in sex tape lawsuit

Hulk Hogan has been awarded an additional $25 million by the jury of his sex video trial.

The wrestling legend was already given a staggering $115 million in his case against Gawker who published a sex tape of him in 2012.

Hogan featured in a video with his friend’s then-wife but won a lawsuit just last week when freedom of the press was pitted against a celebrity’s right to privacy.

Associated Press has since revealed that the American has been awarded another $25 million in punitive damages, taking his total winnings from the trial to $140 million.

The Gawker team said on Friday that they would appeal the initial verdict and that vital evidence was omitted from the trial.

However, the same jury still saw fit to hit the New York-based media outlet with another hefty price for punitive damages which are usually enforced in a bid to deter the defendant from similar actions in future.
