Incredible TV schedule for what must be the GAA weekend of the year

Niall McIntyre

This weekend coming is arguably the most action-packed of the entire season.

As the start of the All-Ireland senior football championships coincides with the Tailteann Cup and the business-end of the provincial hurling championships – throw in the Joe McDonagh and the All-Ireland U20 football final for good measure – it won’t get any more wall-to-wall than this.

The All-Ireland Senior football championship begins on Saturday with a quartet of games, two of which will be shown on GAAGO.

Kerry-Monaghan is followed up by Galway-Derry on the streaming platform.

The now crucial meeting of Dublin and Kilkenny in the Leinster hurling championship will also be shown on GAAGO on Saturday, with a throw-in of 6.00 in Parnell Park.

GAAGO will have Wicklow and Laois’ Tailteann Cup meeting on Sunday but that aside, the Munster senior hurling championship takes over with a Super Sunday of games live on RTÉ.

First, the Davy Fitzgerald derby takes over with Clare hosting Waterford in Cusack Park before all attention turns to Thurles, for the near knock-out clash of Tipperary and Cork.

Bring it on. Bring it all on. See the full fixture list and tv details below.
