Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork was driving home, on Sunday, after helping his team defeat the Indianapolis Colts to win the AFC Championship, when he witnessed the aftermath of a car crash. Like a switch, hero mode clicked in.
Wilfork parked up and jogged to the overturned jeep and, spying the female driver trapped inside, pull her clear of the vehicle. ‘It wasn’t a big deal,’ he modestly told reporters today. ‘It was just seeing someone that needed help and helping them.’
