The GAA have received plenty of criticism about various different things this year but in fairness to them, they got it all right with the hurling championship this year.
The round-robin series was introduced to the provincial championships this year and it went down as an overwhelming success in both Munster and in Leinster.
The games were week-on-week earlier in the year, it turned into an absolute treat for hurling folk as football took the back seat for May, June and most of July as hurling ruled the roost.
In the end Galway and Cork stood tallest, while giants like Tipperary and Waterford fell at the very first hurdle.
