Kerry GAA legend Páidí Ó Sé to have life-sized monument erected in his memory

This is a brilliant movement.

One of the greatest GAA men in The Kingdom is set to be remembered with a life-sized statue. Páidí Ó Sé, who won 10 All-Irelands with Kerry as a player and a manager, passed away in 2012 at the age of just 57 but his legacy extends way beyond his amazing lifetime. And, now, plans are at an advanced stage to have a monument of the Kerry icon put up outside Páidí Ó Sé's pub in Ventry on the Dingle peninsula. The unveiling is set to take place on May 16 and it is another fitting way to remember the king of The Kingdom. Ó Sé captained the 1985-winning side that beat Dublin in the final under Mick O'Dwyer and he got to scale the Hogan Stand steps to lift the Sam Maguire on behalf of his county before delivering this rousing speech. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTi3M6WZePw
