Legendary horse racing icon JP McManus has donated €3.2 million to the GAA that is to be split equally among each club in the country.
RTE reported earlier today that McManus has written to each Gaelic Games county board in Ireland and made his intentions clear that they are to receive €100,000 that is to distributed equally to clubs.
This amazing news comes off the back of Limerick's All-Ireland hurling success last month when they bridged a 45-year gap by defeating Galway in the final at Croke Park.
McManus' letter to each county board stated that the money is to be used for the continued development of Gaelic Games throughout Ireland.
As well as his exploits in horse racing circles, McManus has also been the main sponsor of Limerick GAA since 2004 and is behind the upcoming JP McManus Pro-Am at Adare Manor in 2020, so he is heavily involved with sport in Ireland.
The news will be welcomed throughout every club in Ireland.
Such a classy gesture from McManus
