"We can confirm that following yesterday's game, Jarly Óg Burns was taken to hospital. "He was discharged shortly after arrival and returned home last night. Our experienced medical team will continue to assess and monitor Jarly Óg".Former Armagh All-Ireland winner Oisin McConville has said that he believes that Burns was removed as a precautionary measure and added that the player was on a drip in the changing room.
"Well in the first game it was alleged that it was a suspected concussion and he went through the protocol and if in doubt sit it out," McConville told RTÉ's Morning Ireland. "That's effectively what Armagh did but yesterday was nothing to do with concussion, he was dehydrated, he was exhausted, he was on a drip in the changing room and he was taken off as a precautionary measure and I believe he's doing fine. As far as concussion I don't think the two incidents are related in any way."Armagh will now play Monaghan in the second round of the All-Ireland qualifiers on the weekend of June 22nd/23rd.
