We gave you the power.

SportsJOE whittled it down to 16 players, the people of Ireland chose their favourite. Full forward is the blue riband position on the gaelic football pitch. Growing up, it's the player everyone wants to be. The team's focal point, the target man, the player who makes all the headlines with their graceful goals and points. We organised a head to head knock out competition, pitting the country's best full forwards against each other. With the results taken into account from polls on Instagram and reactions on Facebook, here was how the competition panned out. There were some tight battles along the way. Fermanagh's Seamus Quigley was the surprise package of the whole tournament as he stunned both Cillian O'Connor and Dean Rock.

Round of 16

Paul Geaney beat Lee Brennan John Heslin beat Daniel Flynn Paddy McBrearty beat Paul Mannion Conor McManus beat Connaire Harrison Andy Moran beat Damien Comer Michael Quinlivan beat James O'Donoghue Seamus Quigley beat Cillian O'Connor Dean Rock beat Conor Sweeney

Quarter finals

Seamus Quigley beat Dean Rock Andy Moran beat Michael Quinlivan Paddy McBrearty beat John Heslin Conor McManus beat Paul Geaney

Semi finals

Paddy McBrearty beat Andy Moran Conor McManus beat Seamus Quigley

Final

Conor McManus beats Paddy McBrearty In the end, there could only be one winner and we can't say we were too surprised when that turned out to be Monaghan's Conor McManus. What Conor McManus can do with a football should never be taken for granted and it's great to see that we're appreciating his unique gifts. As a target man, there's no one better. As a kicker, there's no one better. As a full forward, there's no one better.
