Gallery: Slaughtneil win first Ulster, Austin Stacks prevail and Termon clinch ladies title

By God, what a day it has been once again on the GAA scene.  What a day. In Ulster, Derry made it back-to-back successes in the provincial club series as Slaughtneil followed up on Ballinderry's triumph last December to secure the club's first ever Ulster title. Mickey Moran's men clinched a clinker in Armagh, edging out St. Enda's of Omagh in a tense 1-10 to 1-9 affair, with rampant centre forward Chrissy Bradley kicking the winning score after teenager Cormac O'Doherty had earlier netted. In Munster, as the Austin Stacks fans stormed into Páirc Uí Chaoimh in incredible voice, they roared the Kerry champions from behind in a gruesome encounter with The Nire. Stacks found themselves 1-3 to 0-0 behind to the Waterford kingpins and were reduced to 14 men on the quarter hour mark but goals from Shane O'Callaghan and David Mannix brought them level at the break despite registering just three scores, 2-1 to 1-4. Michael Moore did strike for goals for The Nire after the restart but a Pa McCarthy penalty two minutes later had Austin Stacks in firm control as their ferocious intensity saw them through. Meanwhile, there was joy for Down champions Warrenpoint in the Ulster intermediate decider whilst Termon of Donegal won a cracker in the All-Ireland senior ladies final, beating Mourneyabbey (Cork) 3-12 to 1-13.  An absolutely outrageous show of 3-8 (3-4 from play) from Geraldine McLaughlin helped the Ulster champions storm to glory.
