The victims of the shooting in Fermanagh on Wednesday, July 23, have been named locally as Vanessa Whyte, 45, and her children, James Rutledge, 14, and Sara Rutledge, 13.
The three family members were shot in their homes in Maguiresbridge in Fermanagh, and a man remains in serious condition in hospital.
The police have said: "Today, our thoughts remain with those loved ones whose worlds have been torn apart.
"Our investigation is continuing and I am keen to reiterate our appeal for anyone with information to get in touch.
"I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who had spoken to Vanessa, Sara or James over the last few weeks. If you are someone that Vanessa, Sara or James may have confided in, please come and speak to us.
"Any information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem could prove crucial to our investigation."
An Gardaí have been helping the PSNI liaise with family members in Clare, where Vanessa Whyte is originally from.
The deceased were members of St Mary’s Maguiresbridge GFC and St Patrick’s hurling club, with both clubs paying tribute.
Maguirebridge said: "St Mary’s Maguiresbridge GFC offer our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those impacted by the tragic incident which happened in our community this morning.
"We are working with the GAA at county, provincial and national level, to implement the Association’s critical incident protocols.
"We will work closely with all appropriate services to ensure that those who require support at this difficult time can access it.
"The deceased were all active and beloved members of our club.
"We will not be making any further comment at this difficult time."
St Patrick's said: "St Patrick’s Hurling Club Lisbellaw offer our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of all those impacted by the tragic incident this morning in Maguiresbridge. We are working with the GAA at county, provincial and national level, to implement the Association’s critical incident protocols.
"We will also work closely with all appropriate services to ensure that those who require support at this difficult time can access it. Details of this will be shared in due course.
"All 3 were active and beloved members of our club and will be desperately missed.
"Our club will not be making any further comment at this difficult time."
