He has ripped up everything before him from Kerry's first round in the Munster Championship against Clare, all the way to the final. It wasn't really a surprise to anyone who knew about him, anybody that has been following his career graph. He scored 2-27 for the Kingdom in last year's minor campaign, as a 17-year-old out of his age, he bloody well ripped victory from the jaws of defeat for his school St Brendan's in their hour of need in the Hogan cup. Kerry manager Peter Keane knew all about the jewel in his possession, so did the people of The Kingdom. So when Kerry destroyed Cork in the Munster minor semi-final, mainly due to Clifford himself, who had scored more than the whole Cork team with his 2-8, and Keane was asked why he didn't take him off to give him a rest, his reply told it all.
