Last week, Cork selector Ronan Curran stated that he felt pundits from the Rebel county could be more of a help to their side.
He said: "We kind of think maybe sometimes we could get a bit more help out there from our own lads."
This was brought up during the weekend's coverage of Cork's Munster SHC clash with Tipperary coverage on RTÉ.
PresenteR Joanne Cantwell questioned Dónal Óg Cusack - who played with Curran and boss Ben O'Connor - on whether the Rebel management was happy with his 'support' for the county from a punditRy standpoint.
What followed was a tense engagement between the two.
Joanne Cantwell: "A few of your old teammates, were they not too happy with you either?"
Dónal Óg Cusack: "What do you mean by that?"
J: "Ben and Ronan Curran weren't too pleased by the sound of things.
"They didn't reference you though, but they did say 'it would be nice to get a bit more help from their pundits'."
D: "Who told you that?"
J: "I'm just saying what the journalists have said."
D: "As you should know well, you shouldn't believe everything you read in the media."
J: "Well is it different then, have they contacted you? Are they perfectly ok with it?"
D: "With what?"
J: "With you saying that 'nobody rises or falls faster than Tipp'."
D: "Which bit of that didn't you understand?"
J: "No I understood it perfectly, I'm asking, they seem a little bit sensitive about it, Cork. Have you got that at all?"
D: "I was talking to Ben a couple of times in the last week or so, it never came up."
J: "He's okay with it?"
D: "Who told you that?"
J: "I'm just asking you..."
D: "Do you believe everything you read in the media?"
