Connacht Championship is set for fireworks as All-Ireland football draw made

Only a month on and we're planning for next year already.

It does seem a bit bizarre that we're planning for the provincial series of next year's Championship already, but that's the way the system is and there's not much point in complaining. Next year there will be huge changes in both hurling and football. The Super 8 has been brought into replace the quarter-final series of the All-Ireland football, while the provincial Championships in hurling are now in a round-robin set-up. The draws were made and the Connacht quarter final clash between Mayo and Galway is the one that really caught our eye. Galway have beaten Mayo in Connacht for the last two years now, so they will be eager to avenge those defeats, just like the Tribesmen will be to imrpove from a very disappointing year.
