RTÉ have increased the number of matches that will be available with Irish-language commentary for the 2017 season. The broadcaster will show 10 of the 12 football and hurling championship All-Ireland series games from the quarter-final onwards and all of these will be available as Gaeilge. With Irish-language commentary coming from the mouth of Garry Mac Donncha and analysis and wisdom being imparted by Kerry and Offaly legends Dara Ó Cinnéide and Pat Fleury, audiences at home will have the option of watching the biggest games in football and hurling in their native tongue. Options in both Irish and English will be provided from the quarter-final stage onwards, starting with the hurling quarter-final between Clare and Tipperary from Páirc Ui Chaoímh this Saturday.
