The cliché "Magic of the Cup" gets bandied around quite a bit, but this evening's meeting between Worcester City and Scunthorpe produced plenty of it, after a pretty incredible penalty shootout.
League One side Scunthorpe narrowly (and when I say narrowly, I mean NARROWLY!) got the better of non-league Worcester on penalties in the FA Cup second round, setting a new record for the longest ever FA Cup shootut.
Scunthorpe finally won 14-13 on spotkicks after 32 penalties were taken, Wayne Thomas missing the decisive penalty for Worcester, before Miguel Lera ended the marathon by finding the back of the net.
Unfortunately, it still has some way to go to beat the world record, set at the Greek Cup final in 2009, as Olympiacos beat AEK Athens 15-14 after a staggering 48 penalties.
