Damien Duff made a welcome appearance on Premier Sport's coverage of the Champions League semi-final between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, alongside Kenny Cunningham and Shay Given.
The former Shelbourne manager spoke about a recent visit to Brentford's training facilities, where he met up with his old friend and ex-Ireland teammate Keith Andrews.
The Bees manager has surprised many with his success in the Premier League this season - his side currently sit in seventh place - in what has been his first year as a head coach, having replaced the hugely popular Thomas Frank.
Two of Andrews critics have been Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane, who were manager and assistant at Ireland from 2013-2018.
Before Andrews got the Bees job, O'Neill also said: "I hope he does get it because then he will realise what management is all about. It's not as easy to be sitting in a pundit's chair sitting to criticise someone who in all honesty had a much better career than he had."
In the past, Keane has said: "If I can make one point about new Irish staff…
“I’ve heard a lot of bulls***ters over the last 10 years and Keith Andrews is up there with the best of them."

O'Neill - whom Andrews was critical of when on punditry duty - has spoken of his dislike for the 45-year-old, saying: “Keith is not my favourite person because he was very critical of me in Ireland. The irony is that Brentford are using the long throw, which is not all that inventive because it’s been around for years. But take my irritants aside. He’s a young fellow coming in [to management] and it’s a great challenge because he’s taking over from a person whose character pervaded the football club."
