Not many players transcend their sports, let alone referees, but Nigel Owens is no normal ref.
The Welsh whistleblower is an extremely popular figure within the rugby community, and it seems that he’s got a bit of a following outside of the sport too after taking charge of this year’s Rugby World Cup final.
During a recent edition of Monday Night Raw, the commentators questioned the abilities of one of the WWE’s refs, wondering if Owens could do a better job.
