They may have secured Francis Saili's signature, but they've missed out on another target.
It's been widely reported over the past two months that Munster have been keen to sign Argentina skipper Agustin Creevy, but they have lost out in the battle for the hooker, after it was confirmed he'll return to Argentina to play in the country's first Super Rugby franchise in 2016.
Munster have been keen to add an experienced hooker to their squad after the retirement of Damien Varley and further injury setback to Mike Sherry. Aside from Eusebio Guinazu, whose contract is up in the summer, they're left with the relatively inexperienced trio of Duncan Casey, Niall Scannell and Kevin O'Byrne.
Creevy has been a target of Anthony Foley for some time, but the Pumas' captain has signed a three year central contract with the Argentinean union to play for their new Super Rugby franchise.
He joins from English championship side Worcester Warriors, and as the first European player to sign on for the new team, it's a major coup for the Pumas to bring their skipper home.
It now leaves Munster on the hunt for a hooker once again, while it's also expected they'll make add a tight-head prop to their squad, with BJ Botha's contract extension on bringing him up to December 2015.
