Nothing says Valentines Day like a a black market ticket
The IRFU has swooped into action after 144 tickets for Ireland's Six Nations date with France, on February 14, disappeared.
The union released a statement this afternoon, advising rugby fans not to purchase tickets off unofficial sellers after '144 tickets destined for Irish clubs were lost in transit'.
The statement continued: 'The union will now cancel and re-issue the tickets to clubs and advised that any person arriving at the Aviva Stadium with a cancelled ticket will not gain entry to the stadium.'
A spokesperson for An Post, charged with delivering the ticket allocation, told SportsJOE it 'is investigating the issue as a matter of urgency'.
One hopes the clubs in question get first-class delivery of their newly printed tickets and that they are not forced to make alternate plans for Valentines Day...
