Terrifying fan footage shows Zhou Guanyu's horror crash at Silverstone
Zhou was involved in one of the worst crashes the sport has seen in a long time
Footage has emerged online from spectators who witnessed first hand Zhou Guanyu's horror crash that red flagged the British Grand Prix after just one corner.
Zhou's Alfa Romeo ended up sliding upside down after his car was hit by George Russell and flipped upside down.
When he made contact with the tyre barrier, his car flipped over, becoming lodged between the barrier and the front of the spectator stand.
Many in this stand were already filming so that they could capture the start of the race. Many therefore ended up filming the crash.
One person shared dramatic footage of the incident, writing: Huge smash at @SilverstoneUK hoping the driver is okay. Was a scary incident"
