Lucky boy

IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe is set to miss the rest of the year's races after this horrifying smash during practice for the Indy 500 yesterday, but things could have been so much worse. The Canadian suffered gruesome injuries when his suspension failed and sent him careering into the barriers at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a piece of the suspension piercing the cockpit and spearing both of his legs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlbdpXb3FSg Of more concern was the rapid blood loss being suffered by the 28-year-old, and emergency crews cut Hinchcliffe from the car while still impaled on the suspension rod.
