Munster SHC Semi Final: Ballygunner v Sarsfields

📅 Sunday 16th November, 13:15 | 📍 Walsh Park

Few fixtures carry as much intrigue as this one. The memory of last season’s Munster Final remains vivid. Sarsfields shocking a rampant Ballygunner side who were expected to cruise to another provincial crown. Shane O’Regan’s electric cameo, yielding 2-3 off the bench, was one of the great championship moments of recent years.

Sarsfields rode that wave all the way to Croke Park, only to fall short against a superb Na Fianna team in the All-Ireland decider. Their response this year has been a testament to character. The Cork champions powered past Midleton in the county final, hitting 2-18 to 1-14, with James Sweeney’s two goals helping them reclaim their place at the top of the Rebel County.

Ballygunner, meanwhile, have been a team on a mission. Stung by last year’s disappointment, they produced yet another ruthless run through Waterford, claiming a 12th consecutive title after dismantling Mount Sion by 22 points. Even without the influence of Pádraic Mahony, they held off a strong Na Piarsaigh side in the quarter-final.

This semi-final is more than just a rematch. Live on TG4, it’s a battle for control of a province. If Sarsfields repeat last year’s heroics, we may be witnessing a true shift in Munster hurling power. But should Ballygunner get their revenge, their era of dominance may well resume.

Ulster LGFA Final: Errigal Ciarán v St. Ergnat’s, Moneyglass

📅 Saturday 16th November, 15:00 | 📍 Brewster Park

Ulster will crown new champions this weekend, after St. Ergnat’s Moneyglass dethroned last year’s winners Clann Éireann with an impressive 2-5 to 0-8 victory. Goals from Leah Stewart and Bronagh Devlin proved decisive as the Antrim champions controlled a gritty, low-scoring contest.

Moneyglass now face an Errigal Ciarán team who refused to wilt under pressure in their semi-final. Trailing by four at half time against Lurgan of Cavan, they produced a superb comeback. Aoife Horisk struck the crucial equaliser before Maria Canavan landed the winner late on, a strike fitting of the big moment.

There’s little to separate these two sides. Moneyglass bring power, scoring threat and momentum; Errigal Ciarán offer resilience and the composure needed to edge tight games. Expect tension, drama, and a final that could go right down to the last kick.

Leinster SCC Final: Dicksboro v Oulart-the-Ballagh

📅 Sunday 16th November, 15:30 | 📍 SETU Carlow

This year’s Leinster Senior Club Camogie final is a heavyweight clash between tradition and a new wave of champions.

Oulart-the-Ballagh showed their big-game pedigree once again by knocking out defending champions St. Vincent’s with a stunning 2-17 to 3-5 victory. Level at half time, Oulart’s experience shone brightest when it mattered, with Cora Redmond’s stunning goal helping them put St. Vincent’s to the sword.

Dicksboro, however, look every inch the reigning All-Ireland champions. Their 3-17 to 0-4 demolition of Birr underlined their quality in every line of the pitch. With county stars like Asha McHardy, Aoife Prendergast and Jenny Clifford leading the charge, they have both the firepower and defensive steel to challenge anyone.

A provincial final between these two giants feels like the fixture the competition deserves—high tempo, high skill, and high stakes.

Ulster SHC Semi Final: Slaughtneil v St. Pats Portaferry

📅 Sunday 16th November, 15:30 | 📍 Athletic Grounds

Last year’s Ulster Final meeting between these sides was an instant classic. Slaughtneil overturned an eight-point deficit to deny Portaferry in a gripping contest, driven by late goals from Se McGuigan and Shea Cassidy to their 5th provincial crown.

This season, both teams have once again handled their county business with authority, setting up a rematch filled with storylines. Slaughtneil, perennial contenders and holders of multiple Ulster crowns, are chasing yet another title. Portaferry, full of pace and attacking flair, will believe they left one behind last year.

The Athletic Grounds is the setting for the repeat showdown, and with history, pride and a place in the Ulster final on the line, this promises to be another fierce battle.

Leinster SFC Quarter Final: Athy v Summerhill

📅 Saturday 15th November, 17:15 | 📍 St. Conleth’s Park

Athy come into this quarter-final brimming with confidence after ending Naas’ four-year provincial dominance in Kildare. Their county title, their first since 2020, was followed by a ruthless 15-point victory over Baltinglass in the preliminary round. With Kevin Feely commanding midfield, James McGrath driving from half-back and Colm Moran sharp up front, they are a serious threat.

Summerhill arrive as Meath’s newly crowned champions, winning their second title in three years. Ronan Ryan anchors their defence superbly, while Eoghan Frayne gives them a cutting edge inside that few club teams can match.

Two proud clubs, two in-form champions, and a place in the Leinster semi-final up for grabs. This has all the makings of a classic, live on RTÉ 2.
