There’s some big fixtures to look forward to

The All Ireland quarter-final draw has taken place this morning after a weekend of thrilling matches.

Kerry, Dublin, Galway, and Donegal all emerged as the victors following this weekend’s games and they’re now joined by group toppers, Meath, Monaghan, Armagh, and Tyrone as we look forward to the quarter-finals.

On RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, GAA President Jarlath Burns and Feargal McGill, the GAA Director of Player, Club, and Games Administration conducted the draw.

The full draw can be found below:

  • Armagh v Kerry
  • Tyrone v Dublin
  • Meath v Galway
  • Monaghan v Donegal

After the draw, Donegal are the bookies favourites to win Sam Maguire, with Armagh and Galway joint second.

Meath are the current outsiders, but after their huge performance against Kerry last week, anything is possible.

On the big clash between holders Armagh and Kerry, former Kingdom boss Eamonn Fitzmaurice said: “Armagh are the team to beat at the moment, but that opposition is right for Kerry. Certainly the way they played the league game kind of inspired them to go to new levels in the middle of March (Kerry won by 10 points), so I’d be hoping from a Kerry perspective it will be something similar next weekend.”
