BT Sport Box Office problem means some will have to wait to record Fury Wilder fight

Some UK boxing fans have been left frustrated after it appeared they would not be able to record Deontay Wilder's fight with Tyson Fury after ordering it through BT Sport Box Office

Taking place in Los Angeles, the fight could start as late as 5am UK time depending on the undercard. Due to this, some of those who have purchased the fight have decided to record it with a view to watching it later on Sunday. As pointed out by the Mirror, some that have bought the fight via the online booking service have since found that they are unable to record the fight on their Sky boxes. Despite this, there is a way around the problem. It's not perfect, but if you're already up and reading this now, it's not too bad...   Because the fight is a pay-per-view event, the report explains, it will not appear on the EPG, the system viewers use to select which channel they want to watch, until the moment it goes live. https://twitter.com/Michael_O_Toole/status/1068943654826504193 This means that it is possible to record the fight, but in order to do so, you'll just have to wait up until the start of the programme at 11.30pm. See? Not too bad. The problem doesn't appear to have affected those that have bought the fight through their TV. With the weigh-ins completed on Friday, the California State Athletic Commission confirmed the purses the fight on Saturday. Wilder is set to earn a disclosed purse of $4 million for the eighth defence of his title while Fury will take home $3 million. Each fighter will take home much more money from the fight, however, once the split of the pay-per-view revenue is taken into account.
