Joshua was involved in a fatal car crash last week.
Anthony Joshua is set to retire from boxing, according to a member of his family.
Just last week, the former heavyweight world champion was involved in a fatal car crash in Nigeria.
Joshua escaped with minor injuries but team members and close friends, Sina Ghami and Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele, died at the scene.
Joshua fought just days before the fatal crash, knocking out Jake Paul in Miami.
While Joshua himself has not spoken publicly about his future in boxing, his uncle, Adedamola Joshua, has said that AJ is ready to retire.
Speaking to Nigerian outlet, The Punch, Adedamola said: “The major thing there is that he has retired from boxing. That is one thing that makes us glad because each time he’s fighting in the ring, we are always carried away emotionally.

“Each time he’s knocked down, it is just like the heart is coming out of our chest. All these emotional feelings whenever he’s fighting, it’s too much trauma for us, also.
“Now that he has said that he’s leaving while the ovation is highest, we are happy.”
When asked if Joshua had personally told his family that he was retiring, Adedamola said: “Yes.”
After defeating Jake Paul, Joshua had teased the possibility of a fight with Tyson Fury.
