Walsh hits back at ‘stupid’ Jake Paul and calls out ‘full of s**t’ claims

SportsJOE

A fight between Jake Paul and Callum Walsh has long been touted

Callum Walsh claims a fight with Jake Paul is unlikely to ever happen, and says he is “full of s**t” after recent jibes.

The social media star turned boxer Paul recently belittled the Cork fighter on the Jaxxon Podcast, calling him “trash” and claiming the undefeated man hasn’t fought anyone.

Walsh, 24, is 14-0-0, and has defeated Elias Espadas and Dean Sutherland this year, while Paul is 12-1-0, most recently beating 39-year-old Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and 59-year-old Mike Tyson.

And Walsh, speaking to SportsJOE, said while he respects Paul’s ability to market himself, none of what he is claiming makes sense.

Walsh said: “I don’t think it’ll ever be a fight that’ll happen, he’s just so full of s**t that he’s just always online talking. I think he’s very smart, he says stuff online on purpoise knowing that people are going to talk about it, because he has such a big name to be fair.

“He says things purposefully just to get his name around, just so people will keep talking about him, he’s just full of s**t, the stuff that he says is just so stupid, like, as if I wouldn’t take the fight because of the weight. Why wouldn’t I? I could train a full camp, with no weight cut, not have to worry about weight at all, eat whatever I want, be strong as possible, and get paid a load of money to fight him. Do you know what I mean?

“It makes perfect sense for me, but it doesn’t make sense for him, if he lost to me they are going to be like: ‘Ah sure, he’s s**t.’ If he loses to a legit boxer everyone will just be like: ‘Yeah., you’re done.’ He already fought one boxer and he lost, so he’s not going to try and do it again. He just talks and talks, and that’s it.

Asked if he respects Paul’s marketing, Walsh said: “Ah definitely. The stuff he is doing is massive, he is generating a lot of money, a lot of eyes, and people are genuinely interested.

“I don’t know if they’re real, hardcore boxing fans, but he definitely has people interested and watching his fights.”
