Video: Manny Pacquiao displays impressive hand speed in first training session for Mayweather bout

The build-up starts here

And so it begins. We are 61 days from the bell going in the long awaited fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather and the training has begun in earnest.

Pacquiao has landed on US soil to begin his prep for the Las Vegas bout and he has posted a video from his first session at trainer Freddie Roach’s Wild Card gym.

First day of training here in wild card gym, feels good to be back. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Mayweather has also been getting to work, posting some images of his sessions, though his are of a more celebrity slant, like this shot with Nicolas Cage and Elijah Wood.

We also learned today that the first, and only, press conference for the fight that both will attend is on next week, March 11.
