We can't wait to see Frampton defend his title on Saturday night
It is a stuffed weekend of sporting action but one event we are definitely not missing is Carl Frampton's defence of his IBF super-bantamweight title. The Jackal fights Chris Avalos on Saturday night at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast and with the fight live on UTV Ireland from 10.50pm, we're certainly staying in to watch it.
Frampton is unbeaten thus far in 19 bouts and with a huge home support behind him, the atmosphere should be crackling. His opponent Avalos is no mug (25-2) but looking at the shape Frampton was in for the weigh-ins this afternoon, we reckon the champion more than deserves to be so shortly priced for the fight (1/10 with Ladbrokes).
We've broken down how we think Frampton will go about winning in our analysis piece here
