Ouch
Kevin Mitchell is feeling sore now but we bet it won’t be anything compared to how his body will ache tomorrow when the adrenaline wears off.
The fighter was in action tonight in London in his clash with Jorge Linares for the WBC world lightweight title when the fight was stopped in round 10 by the referee.
The man known as the ‘Hammer’ got quite a hammering as his face resembled something out of a horror movie by the time the fight was over.
Mitchell received a cut in the fourth but managed to put Linares down in the fifth until the swelling around his eye meant the referee had no option but to call the action off with Mitchell on the cusp of winning.

The loss will be especially disappointing for Mitchell as it’s the third time he has fought for a world title and was ahead on points for many when the action was halted.
