Kubrat Pulev has refused to apologise for kissing a female interviewer after a fight on Saturday night.
Pulev grabbed Vegas Sports Daily reporter Jennifer Ravalo’s face and kissed her on the lips in an interview after the Bulgarian heavyweight earned a seventh-round knockout victory over Bogdan Dinu in California.
Pulev has come in for considerable criticism for his behaviour in the interview and Ravalo, who goes by the name ‘Jenny SuShe’ on social media, branded the kiss “embarrassing” and “strange” on Twitter earlier this week.

Pulev, who has been linked with a future fight with unbeaten British heavyweight Tyson Fury, has since released a statement and claimed that the pair are friends who joked about the kiss afterwards.
“You may have seen a clip of me kissing a female reporter following an interview after I won my fight Saturday night,” Pulev wrote.
“The reporter, Jenny, is actually a friend of mine, and after the interview, I was so elated, I gave her a kiss.

“Later that night, she joined me and my other friends at my post-fight celebration.
“On the video, after our kiss, we both laughed about it and thanked each other.
