Panic set in for us boxing fans who would have to travel to Vegas for the biggest boxing bout of the modern era when word broke that the hotel that will host the fight had already sold out.
Reports coming out of the fight capital of the world claimed that The MGM Grand had sold out in just 15 minutes after the highly anticipated meeting of Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao was announced last night.
But representatives of the hotel insist that a computer glitch is to blame and that there are plenty of rooms left for fight fans to snap up.
The update comes from USA Today's Martin Rogers who quotes the room rates rising as high as $615 for both May 1 and 2 but claims that they are certainly available.
With just 17,000 capacity at the venue, there will be a lot of disappointed fight fans come May but don't be too disheartened because accommodation is still available. It will just cost you an arm and a leg.
