Billy Joe Saunders tends not to filter his trash talk.
The WBO middleweight champion has not won any fans by using a homophobic slur to describe Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in a controversial interview this week.
Talk has been rife for some time that Saunders was set to clash with the heavy-handed WBO light middleweight champion but the showdown has yet to come to fruition.
It's looking more likely that Gennady Golovkin is next up for the Brit, who holds a perfect professional record of 24-0, although a deal has yet to be agreed between the fighters' camps.
Saunders is eager to get a name to plan for but in his bid to goad both 'Canelo' and Golovkin into signing a bout agreement, he's taken his language a touch too far.
"I’ll tell you what 'Canelo' is. He’s a little ginger pussy. A little ginger faggot, that's what he is," Saunders told

"I don’t know why Golovkin is worried about him, because he had a belt and gave it to him. He don’t want to fight Golovkin. He don’t want to fight nobody. Again, they want to fight people... they want to bring people down. They are bringing Chavez down to a stupid, stupid weight. He wouldn’t go to 160lbs to fight Golovkin. He won’t have me, yet he’ll have Chavez coming down."
All signs are pointing to Saunders vs. Golovkin in June, possibly in Kazakhstan, after the latter defended his titles with a decision victory over Daniel Jacobs in New York last weekend.
GGG has stated that it's his dream fight, given that a victory would deliver the WBO crown to his already impressive bounty, and Saunders is not afraid of travelling into enemy territory for the clash.
But, judging by his final message to Golovkin in the above interview, Saunders is losing his patience with the negotiating process.
