Jo-Wilfried Tsonga gained a lot of new fans after this wonderful gesture at the Australian Open.
The French tennis star was just starting the third set of his second round victory over Australian teen Omar Jasika when he noticed that a young ball girl was in distress.
The girl had been reportedly struck by a tennis ball and appeared to be holding back tears as she was clearly hurting from the incident.
Tsonga noticed the girl was hurt and decided to take it upon himself to call the match to a brief halt in order to come to the girl's aid. He placed her arm in his, took the tennis balls she was holding off her and ushered her off the court, much to the delight of the crowd.
