For any snooker player, making a 147 break is the pinnacle of the sport, much less doing it in a qualifying match for the World Championships in Sheffield.
Thepchaiya Un-Nooh had done all the hard work in the third frame of his final round match against Anthony McGill, setting himself up for a reasonably straightforward black that was worth an £8,500 in break bonuses.
Nerves clearly got to the 30-year-old Thai player, though, who hit the shot with far more pace than required and saw it rattle the jaws of pocket, leaving Un-Nooh to throw his cue on the table in disgust.
Amazingly, it is the second time this season that Un-Nooh has missed out on a maximum, have also missed the final ball at the UK Championship.
