Not a conventional basketball move, but effective none the less
We're partial to the odd basketball highlight here, especially if it comes from Ireland and this morning we were sent a doozy by the good folks at Basketball Ireland.
In a game between UL and Killester at the weekend, won by the Munster side, a loose ball appears on the court. Springing into action like a coiled spring, UL coach Paul Kelleher clears it with a very dramatic sliding tackle. If any players had been near by it would have been the greatest loose ball foul in history but as the court was clear, it was just some very quick thinking to keep the game flowing.
Beautiful, and a possible call up by Martin O'Neill for Paul can't be far off.
